Let Him be a Guy--Let him be himself

If you really want to go out with this guy, you have to understand who he is. Don't make him stop doing things he likes to do. Say he likes football, don't tell him to stop watching it or playing it with his friends. Be open and let him feel like you support him. If he really loves it you should support it and be glad he's happy. If it's really a problem, compromise. Let him do football some days and you guys can do something you both like on a different day. Don't try to force him to be Mr. Sensitive either. If you know this guy isn't too touchy-feely you'll have to accept it if you really love him. Besides, even if he's not like that, he can still show you he cares. When not-too-sensitive guys care they try their best and you'll be able to tell because they get nervous. Love your guy for who he is and let him do guy things. It's only fair.
